Other services you might use to provide content for your website
The best thing that you can do to minimise costs is to provide us with the raw content for your website in a usable format. This will limit the time that we need to spend on top of the website build on writing (or editing) copy, sourcing relevant photos and tweaking logos, pictures, colour schemes and fonts.
Limiting website functions to those that are included with free themes and plug-ins will also save you from additional expenses.
Canva is a great resource for creating your own logo, finding photos, icons and pictures and exploring colour schemes.
A quick search of ‘free photos’ will identify sites such as Pixabay, iStock, StockSnap and Pexels that have photos that can be used free-of-charge, however custom or purchased photos are preferred by Google to increase search engine rankings.
If you have engaged Tangled Web to develop your website, you will own the content and the right to the domain name. You will be able to transfer your website to another domain host/company or your own host.
If you are renting a website from Tangled Web, we retain the right to the domain name and any content (text, photos, videos) that we have provided and you retain ownership of any content that you have provided. In this case, you will not be able to transfer your page to another domain host/company but can re-use any content that you gave us on your new website.
Once you cease renting the site I will deactivate the page. Depending on your plans, I can either leave the page in draft mode (if you think you may use it in future) or I can remove all content that you have provided (if you will re-use it on a new website), as per your instruction at the time. In either case, Tangled Web will not re-use any of the content that you own.
